Tend (“the app”) is published by XTENZA TECH PRIVATE LIMITED (“we”, “us”), 10/1-3, 9th Street, Jeeva Nagar, Sirumugai, Coimbatore, Mettupalayam, TN 641302, India. This policy explains what data the app handles. The short version: Tend has no account, no login, no ads, and no third-party analytics or tracking.

What we store, and where

  • Your habits, counters, and entries are stored locally on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, this data is also stored in your own private iCloud account (managed by Apple, in Apple's iCloud private database). We cannot read your iCloud data.
  • We do not collect your name, email, phone number, precise location, contacts, or photos.
  • We do not use any third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.

AI Insights

If you use the AI Insights feature, the app sends the following to our own server (a Cloudflare Worker) purely to generate your coaching text:

  • A randomly generated, anonymous device identifier (not linked to your identity, name, or Apple ID).
  • Summaries of your tracker data — habit/counter names, any goal or “why” text you entered, recent counts, streaks, and derived statistics.

Our server passes this to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the insight text, then returns it to the app. This data is used only to produce your insights, is cached briefly (per day) to avoid repeat processing, and is never sold, shared for advertising, or used to identify you. If you don't use AI Insights, none of this is sent.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment details; Apple does. We only receive an anonymous signal that confirms whether your purchase is active.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled and delivered locally on your device. We do not run a push server.

Children

Tend is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices and data deletion

  • Deleting the app removes the local data on your device.
  • iCloud data can be managed or removed through your device's iCloud settings.
  • The anonymous data used for AI Insights expires automatically from our server cache and is not tied to your identity.

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change accordingly.
